NL Architects Bicycle Club Design

Amsterdam-based NL Architects were been asked to design a Bicycle Club for a resort in Hainan, China. The project features a glass enclosed pavilion with a roof top velodrome.

Guests can rent a bike and join the fun in the open-air velodrome or simply visit the club’s cafe.

Looks like an interesting project, should resorts open velodromes like this in the future? Would you be more likely to ride if a resort had a velodrome?

The idea is interesting, but without stands for viewers, they are sacrificing some monetary potential.
I would like to see more bike facilities incorporated into other sports venues. Utilizing the roof is a good idea.
