Ikea the Swedish company better known for furniture and delicious Swedish meatballs in their food court has entered the urban commuter bike market with a low-maintenance everyday urban commuter bike named the SLADDA.
The grey, aluminum-frame bike comes in two sizes one with 26-inch wheels and one larger 28-inch wheels. The frame and fork are made of aluminum coated with 2 layers of lacquer to make it extra resistant to scratching, road salt and mud. The SLADDA comes with a SRAM automatic 2-gear system integrated into the rear hub, so there are no wires that rust, break or need regular maintenance. In an effort to make the bike even easier to take care of it comes with a rust- and oil-free belt drive. The front disc brake and rear coaster brake gives efficient braking. You can adjust the height and angle of the handlebar to suit your height and preferred riding position. The aluminum frame makes the bike lightweight and easy to bring with you whether you live in a house or condo or apartment.
The SLADDA bike is a solid commuter bike that can easily be converted to a cargo bike with the addition of an Ikea front basket, a back-wheel rack or SLADDA trailer.
